What We Know: Form 100 records T/SGT Rifle NCO and platoon-sergeant duty. Form 53-55 records highest grade held as T/SGT and grade at separation as PVT. The August 1945 Men of Diehard roster lists Harry as Pvt.
Conflicting Evidence: The surviving records document different grades at different points but do not supply the promotion date, grade-change date, authority, or reason.
